The Daily Market Briefs is a newsletter-first financial media company that covers financial news, trends and analysis. Our mission is to make finance and investing simple and accessible to everyone with content that’s brief, simple, and informative.
Job Description
We’re looking to build our research and editorial team. This individual will research and write on a part-time capacity for our newsletter that reaches 20k+ readers.
As part of the team, you’ll be joining us on our journey to 100K+ subscribers while expanding our coverage across the stock market, economy and in personal finance topics.
This is a fully remote position with the opportunity and option to move into a full-time role.
Our ideal candidate is someone who consumes macro and micro financial news on the daily, loves to deep dive into different companies and businesses, and isn’t afraid to give their opinions.
We want to provide a platform for you to spread your opinion to tens of thousands of investors – soon to be hundreds of thousands.
We need someone with a strong market pulse and can communicate complex topics in a clear and concise way.
Responsibilities

- Write 1-2 stock & equity analyses articles (1000-2000 words) per month
- Conduct fundamental analysis and investment research
- Provide commentary and opinions
- Stay on top of financial trends and news, and maintain a pro-active view on the market
- Collaborate with our Editor
- Adapt and write in The Daily Market Briefs tone
Who are we looking for?

- Interest in the financial markets with a strong financial background
- Strong analytic skills with a good understanding of fundamental research and analysis
- Strong writing skills and the ability to break down financial topics in a clear and conversational way
- Someone that can contribute different articles on a weekly basis (must meet deadlines)

This is a part-time position and you will be able to work on your own schedule. However, you must meet certain deadlines every month.
This is a contract position and compensation will be based on experience with the potential for a revenue and equity share.
